NehaKaul takes inspiration from Maya Sarabhai to play a hoity-toity sophisticated lady in BahuHumariRajni_kant While NehaKaul continues to charm audiences with her portrayal of a hoity-toity, sophisticated lady in the character of ‘Shogata’ in Life OK’s show BahuHumariRajni_kant, there is one thing that not too many people know. To play the role of Shogata, Neha took inspiration from Maya Sarabhai’s character from the very popular sitcom show in 2004, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. In 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Maya Sarabhai’s character was an epitome of sophistication and elegance and similarly in BahuHamariRaknikant, NehaKaul’s character is of a hoity-toity lady who is always correcting others and thinks highly of herself. When asked her about the same, she said, “I am really fond of Maya Sarabhai’s character and have been watching the series from a long time. When I was offered the role of Shogata, who is too sophisticated for her family, I immediately thought of Maya Sarabhai and drew comparisons between both. After being offered Shogata’s role, I started following Maya Sarabhai’s character even more closely. I am not trying to copy her but I did take inspiration from her character”. Watch BahuHumariRajni_kant from Monday to Friday at 8 pm only on Life OK Atul malikram 9755020247 Mailer.atulmalikram@gmail.com
